God
took you on a
"Special
Day",
We
don't understand,
"Why this
way?"
But
then dear
"Pops",
we love you so,
Maybe
God knew, it was
your time to go.

We
Loved you so very
dearly,
And
shall remember
this day yearly,
No
good you saying
"Don't
Moan",
Dad,
we do feel so sad
and alone.

But
although we cry,
and miss you so
much,
We
know your around,
we won't lose
touch.
We'll
take care of Mum
and see she's
okay,
Until
it's her turn, and
her "Special
Day".

How
do we say,
"Goodbye"
to you?
You
always advised us,
of what to do.
No
one prepared us,
of what to say,
How
do we tell people,
"You've gone
away".

We
do thank God, that
your out of pain,
The
month's that you
struggled, against
the grain,
Many
times we thought,
"Is this the
end?"
Only
to find you'd
turned, yet
another bend.

But
we must not
forget, our
dearest Mother,
What
strength and love,
you had for each
other,
Her
constant nursing,
and coping with it
all,
We
don't know how she
managed, with each
beck and call.

But
Dad, there is
something Mum
wishes to say,
She
wants to say
"Sorry",
for the other day,
She
shouted at you,
and told you to
"Shut
Up",
She
was only tired
Dad, and very fed
up.

We
knew she didn't
mean it, she cries
even now,
She
never mean't to
hurt you, so close
to your final bow,
We
hope you will
forgive her, and
put her mind at
rest,
You
know in your heart
Dad, that she did
try her very best.

We
musn't forget all
the help we had,
In
looking after you,
our precious Dad,
There
was Claudia, Sonia
and Carole too,
Only
to name but a very
few.

We
musn't forget all
our friends and
neighbours,
To
whom we called on
for their labours,
Many
times in utter
despair,
We
just called out,
and then they'd be
there.

There
is just a few more
words Dad, to say,
We
know you're eager
to go on your way,
But
please just hang
on for another
minute,
Before
you go towards the
light, to see
what's "In
it".

We
never got a chance
to say "Merry
Christmas"
that day,
So
we'd like to do it
now, and be
allowed to say,
"Merry
Christmas
Dad", we miss
you lots and lots,
Our
love and thoughts
are with you -
Night Night
"Pops".
